TAKU MISHIMA (Taiko Stick Drum, Komparu School) Taku Mishima is the third generation Taiko performer in his family. As a child he studied with his grandfather Mr. Taro Mishima and his father Gentaro Mishima. He has in recent years performed in non-traditional performances with flamenco dancers and Western classical and jazz musicians. In 1993 he had his first Kita Noh performance as a tour member to Vladivostok, Russia. Since then he has had tours in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Germany, Holland, Greece, Egypt and France. In 1996 he graduated from Asia University’s Faculty of International Relations.
